HELEN HU
Helen是一位在德国出生长大的华裔。她自小就对各类艺术形式有着浓厚的兴趣。于德国念完中学后来到了中国寻找她血液里流淌的文化。2016年Helen毕业于北京电影学院的美术系时，已参 加了几个电影大制作。至今她通过电影，刺青，传统艺术追随她的创作理念及对艺术的憧憬。这 次的作品创作的出发点是她在控制与放任中的挣扎。
Helen is a Chinese girl born and grew up in Germany, and has strong interests in many kinds of arts since when she was s kid. After high school in Germany, Helen came back to China to find the art and culture that is running in her blood. In 2016 Helen graduated from Beijing Film Academy, majored in Arts, and by that time Helen has already worked on a few feature film productions. Now she is pursuing her dreams in arts through films, tattoos, and traditional arts. The 4 artworks for this issue of flow is a presentation of her struggles between controlling and indulgence.
SHUANGSHUANG HAO
Shuangshuang 是《flow》的创办人，是一位BAFTA Scotland提名的动画师和插画师。她喜欢 观察生活中充满趣味的瞬间，作品具有着纯粹和敏感的眼光，表达着当代生活中稍纵即逝的情 感。Shuangshuang目前是一位自由职业者，与世界各地的艺术家在电影和音乐方面有着频繁 的合作。今年4月Shuangshuang在日本举办个展‘SCALE’。
Shuangshuang is the creator and curator of flow, and is a BAFTA Scotland nominated animator and illustrator. She enjoys looking at the playful moment in mundane life, with a pure and sensitive perspective, her works express and describe the fleeting moments and emotions in modern life. Shuangshuang is now a freelancer, she works with artists around the world on a regular basis. This April Shuangshuang had an exhibition 'SCALE' in Nara, Japan.
ICEBERG
“一只青蛙，偶然捡到了一部港版苹果手机iPhone6s，喜欢拍奇怪的生活瞬间，但有时因为 害羞不敢拿起手机而错过了很多片段，时常懊悔不已。新年愿望是:希望变得勇敢并涌有一台 Nintendo Switch。”
"A frog who accidentally got an iPhone 6s, likes to take photos of weird moments in life, but sometimes misses really nice ones because of shyness. Wishes for 2017 are: be brave and have a Nintendo Switch."
ZHENGNI LI
“白天是上班族，晚上9点过后啥也不是。 躲进厕所/楼梯间/自己家的时候，会产出一些画和动图。”
"OL at daytime, after 9pm I am nobody. when hiding in the bathroom / staircases / my won flat, I create some pictures and animations."
YI SHI
Yi，AKA吐司同学，是在枫叶国学习居住并工作的一枚酷到没边儿的女孩儿。俗话说，不会拍照 的码农不是好纹身师，吐司大概就是坚守着这样的信念一步一个哆嗦地一个人在异国走下来的。 平时熬夜通宵赶作业，第二天依然要端着傻瓜机坐着地铁去看演出。而纹身师的工作干到现在， 最痛苦的依然是回复客人们的邮件。妈妈说‘文艺青年’没有担当不靠谱，但是她却觉得自己这 种‘文艺’青年最有担当最靠谱。这次在《flow》，吐司同学也试着用一些再日常不过的照片， 给大家看一下这个偶尔会想家的‘文艺青年’的生活。
Yi is a very cool girl studies and works in Canada. As a tattoo artist, Yi also takes nice photos and writes codes. Although sometimes she has to stay up all night for assignments but the next day she still brings her camera and goes to gigs. Yi thinks the hardest part of being an tattoo artist is replying to clients' emails. Her mum thinks art people are not 'reliable', but she thinks as an art people she is quite reliable. In this issue of flow, Yi shares some photos of her mundane life, gives us a sneak view of the life of an 'art people'.
ESTELLE
Estelle说自己不知道来自哪里......在许多地方都流浪过。目前居住在美国加州，学习人类学，想 要当一位心理人类学家，研究生命经历和人类情绪情感认知。拥有听到声音就能看见颜色的神奇 通感能力，从小一直想要画画的她如今也终于拿起了画笔，虽然专业让人很享受，但也会常常觉 得内心沉重，于是画画成了Estelle进行“精神瑜伽”的方式。“画画的时候，可以学习不同的观 察态度，也用不同的态度面对修改和挫折，怎么说呢，能够比较直观的培养一种作家也需要的匠心吧。”
In Estelle's own words, she doesn't know where she's from. 'I wandered in many places.' But for the moment, Estelle is based in California, US, studying anthropology in phD. She wants to be a psychological anthropologist, study the history of life and the emotional cognition of humans. With an amazing ability of synesthesia which allows her to 'hear' colours, Estelle always wanted to start with art, and now she finally did. Estelle enjoys her research a lot, however it could get depressing sometimes, and painting becomes her mental yoga to release the stress. "When I'm drawing, I learn different attitudes on observation, and gaine new ways to face failure and the need for modification. In other words, it cultivates an ability on ingenuity that all creators need."
